Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department, Villupuram Forest division in collaboration with
Universal Eco Foundation organized World Wetlands Day 2020. Around 250 students, Teachers, Officials, Village people, NGO’s, Forest Department, Police Department, Naturalist, Volunteers were participated. Programme inaugurated and World Wetlands Day message delivered by The District Collector, Villupuram followed by The District Forest Officer, Villupuram, Additional Collector, Sub-Collector, Judges, Tahsildar and The Education Coordinator. During the programme Universal Eco Foundation distributed prizes for the winners (essay writing, speech and drawing), wildlife photography exhibition, releasing poster (birds of Kazhuveli and Oussudu Bird Sanctuaries), village people participated in bird watching program at Kazhuveli Wetland. We would like to thank The District Collector, Additional Collector, Sub Collector, Judges and Tahsildar for spending their valuable time and motivated the participants. We thank The District Forest Officer, Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department, Villupuram forest division for supporting and sponsor this programme. Also, We thank Dr. Arun Nagalingam and team for necessary help. Finally, we would like to thank Universal Eco Foundation staff especially Mrs Vijayavalli, Secretary, Mr. Kalicharan, Wildlife Biologist, Mr. Sekar, Nursery Coordinator, Mrs. Rani, Mrs Devi and Mrs Veni for arranging very tasty food for the participants….
