It was a two weeks internship program, the interns gained knowledge on identification of birds, lizards, frogs, marine life, snakes, trees, medicinal plants and herbs. They were given chance to learn about Biodiversity Conservation, Marine Ecosystem, Agricultural field Ecosystem, Organic farming, Importance of herbs and medicinal plants, Turtle hatchery through presentations given by Biodiversity experts.
During the course they had a hands on experience on Camera trapping techniques, GPS tracking and marking techniques, Nursery and plantation techniques, Salt pan preparation and harvest, GIS training, Wildlife photography, Biodiversity inventory techniques. They indulged in various activities like bird watching, trekking, beach walk, wetland observation, seed collection, seed germination, mother bed preparation, planting, night walk in beach, night stay in forest, herpetofauna survey during night.
Along with these activities, they learned the proper technique to handle frogs, crabs, rats, lizards, fishes and snakes with safety guidelines. Sand sculpture, painting, soap carving, origami, paper bag making, setting different bird feeders, baking cake and pizza, dancing, camp fire dancing to ignite their interest in co curricular activities.
