Eco awareness program at Kaliveli Bird Sanctuary(07-03-2018)

Today (07-03-2018) we conducted eco awareness program at Kaliveli Bird Sanctuary. Organized by Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department and Universal Eco Foundation (UEF). In this programme we  started  rally with slogan boards and banner. After that we went to Kaliveli Bird Sanctuary (Vandipalayam) and explained about birds and importance of Wetland. Also we explained about, bird identification methods. There are 175 students and teachers from Government Middle school, Vandipalayam were participated.

After snacks Dr. Bubesh Guptha, Founder Director gave talk on  importance of Kaliveli biodiversity and conservation. Electronic media (Sun News) covered our program in the field itself. We would like to thank, District Forest Officer, Villuppuram, Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department, sponsored such a wonderful event. Also we thank school teachers and students, Forest Department officials and Universal Eco Foundation Executive make this event grand success…

 UEF conducted Kaliveli biodiversity conservation and human responsibility Awareness program at Cheyyankuppam village

We have conducted Kaliveli biodiversity conservation and human responsibility Awareness program at Cheyyankuppam village. There are 250 village people and students from Marakkanam and Cheyyankuppam were participated, organised by Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department and Universal Eco Foundation (UEF). Dr. Muthukannan, coordinator from UEF, talk about conservation of Kaliveli Lake and people responsibilities, followed by Mr. Kumar from UEF, talk about Kaliveli threats and conservation measures. Finally Dr. Bubesh Guptha, Director of Universal Eco Foundation gave importance of Kaliveli wetland and Biodiversity conservation. We distributed eco friendly bag and notebook for the students. Ex panchayat president, naturalist and forest official interacted with the students and villagers for conservation of Kaliveli. Part of the program we conducted oral presentation about biodiversity and cultural events. Finally conclude with prize distribution. We would like to thank, District Forest Officer, Villuppuram District, Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department, for sponsoring such a wonderful event. Cycle Rally Awareness program at Kaliveli Bird Sanctuary

We conducted Cycle Rally Awareness program at Kaliveli Bird Sanctuary. The theme is Biodiversity Conservation and Protection of Kaliveli Wetland. 50 students from Botanical Garden Eco Club and Payanam Cycle Rally group participated in the program organised by Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department and Universal Eco Foundation (UEF). The cycle rally started at 6:00am via Auroville, Bommayapalayam, Kalapet, kanagasettikulam, Puthupet, Koonimedu with slogan boards and banner. The students were taken to Kaliveli floodplain for bird watching. Dr. Bubesh Guptha, Director of Universal Eco Foundation gave a presentation on Kaliveli Wetland Biodiversity and Conservation. We distributed eco friendly bag and notebook for the students. Mrs. Viji, Secretary of Universal Eco Foundation interacted with the students to motivate them. After lunch we had a feedback session on the whole event.We would like to thank, District Forest Officer, Villuppuram District, Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department, for sponsoring such a wonderful event. Our special thanks to Payanam Cycle Rally team and Botanical Garden Eco Club, Auroville for leading the entire trip successfully. We conducted eco awareness program at Kaliveli Bird Sanctuary. Organized by Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department and Universal Eco Foundation (UEF).In this programme we start with field visit at Kaliveli Bird Sanctuary and explain about birds and importance of Wetland. There are 60 students and teachers from Government Higher secondary school, koonimedu were participated. In the event we distributed eco friendly bag, notebook and birds labels. Also part of the event we conducted drawing competition to students, the theme is Biodiversity conservation. Finally we conclude with vote of thank. We would like to thank, District Forest Officer, Villuppuram district, Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department, sponsored such a wonderful event… Also we thank, Mr Hussain, Resource person gave lecture about Biodiversity conservation. I thank school teachers and students, Forest Department officials and Universal Eco Foundation executive make this event grand success…

Today (28.02.2018) we conducted eco awareness program at Kaliveli Bird Sanctuary. Organized by Government of Tamil Nadu Forest Department and Universal Eco Foundation (UEF). In this programme we start with field visit at Kaliveli Bird Sanctuary and explain about birds and importance of Wetland. Also we explained about, bird identification methods. There are 65 students and teachers from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Marakkanam were participated. In the event we distributed eco friendly bag, notebook and birds labels. Also part of the event we conducted drawing competition to students, the theme is Biodiversity conservation.

After lunch break Dr. Bubesh Guptha, Founder Director gave power point presentation about biodiversity conservation and human responsibility with special reference on Kaliveli biodiversity. Sri Periyenna, Forest Range Officer, Tindivanam Range, Tindivanam gave oral talk about conservation of Sea turtle conservation and conservation about Kaliveli Lake. Finally we conclude with vote of thank. 8 days winter camp for kids

BUZZY BEES Club House with the support of Universal Eco Foundation organised a 8 day winter camp for kids from the 23rd of dec to the 30th to bring them closer to Nature and innovation. Kids of age group 4-12 years from different Schools participated in this camp. They indulged in various creative activities like fun games, tongue twisters, dance, craft, origami, fire less cooking, science experiment, sand art, painting, greeting card, etc. We believe success is when we enjoy with kids n have lots of fun with them. We went on field trip to an ice cream factory so that the kids get a hands on experience on manufacturing ice creams, waffle cones. They witnessed icing a cake and savored it. We gave them a chance to stay close to nature through trekking, bird watching, splashing and jumping in the muddy puddles. They had a refreshing and a interactive session with the wildlife expert..
